Ana Amorín Fernández joined Uría Menéndez in 2017 and is based in the firm’s Madrid office. She focuses her practice on civil and commercial litigation, national and international commercial arbitration, investment arbitration and compliance.
She has represented clients in all stages of civil and arbitration proceedings before multiple courts and institutions.
She is experienced in acting for sovereign states in recognition, enforcement and set-aside proceedings. She advises Spanish and foreign companies, as well as governments, on drafting contracts and legal opinions, corporate disputes and commercial agreements in the framework of renewable energy distribution and solar projects in the consultancy, hospitality and construction sectors, among other areas.
From January to October 2023, Ana worked as a visiting lawyer in the projects and arbitration team at Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Melbourne, where she gained relevant knowledge on construction disputes.
She is also an internationally certified compliance professional. Ana is admitted to the Bar of Madrid and is a member of the Spanish and Iberoamerican Arbitration Club.
