Camilo Martinez is the managing partner of DLA Piper Martinez Beltran and head of the corporate M&A and finance practice of the firm.Camilo holds a law degree (JD equivalent) from the Pontifical Xavierian University, completed a financial regulation postgraduate programme at the University of Los Andes and was awarded an LLM at Georgetown University. Mr Martinez has also been awarded several recognitions from distinguished ranking agencies such as Chambers Latin America and the International Financial Law Review.Mr Martinez has extensive experience in the Colombian and foreign securities markets, and has led the issuance of stock and bonds at the Colombian Stock Exchange, and the issuance of bonds under the 144A rule abroad.Camilo has also led some of the country's most significant M&A transactions, in sectors such as the financial, natural resources, and technology, media and telecoms, among others.
