David is a partner and senior managing director in FTI’s Economic and Financial Consulting practice and is based in London. David has 38 years of experience of accounting and consulting, mostly as a forensic accountant involved in accounting investigations and the quantification of damages.

He has given evidence in litigation and arbitration more than 20 times and given oral evidence on nine occasions. He has been appointed as expert to determine disputes and by an arbitral tribunal to conduct an audit ordered by the tribunal.

David’s areas of expertise include software and technology licensing, the development and implementation of contract compliance programmes, revenue recovery and the enforcement of intellectual property rights, the licensing of brands and digital content, royalty audits and software asset management. He works mainly in the TMT sector and in other IP-rich areas.

David combines extensive work for the leading global companies in these areas for more than 20 years with a record of working in disputes and giving expert evidence on liability and quantum. He advises clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters, particularly where measurement of usage and compliance with contract terms is complex and hard to establish.
