ECHR holds Russia liable over “foreign agent” laws
The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that Russian laws requiring many media outlets to register as "foreign agents" are arbitrary and violate human rights – upholding the appeal of a US-funded media group that had previously threatened Russia with a treaty claim.
