European court upholds validity of CAS jurisdiction with reservations

The European Court of Human Rights has rejected claims by two sportspeople that proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport were insufficiently independent to be considered a fair trial – but ruled that one of the hearings should have been held publicly.
