Jorge Asali has been a partner at Bufete Asali since 2012. In more than 20 years of practice, he has participated in more than 700 commercial, bankruptcy and administrative disputes that often include transnational components. His experience spans many sectors, including energy, construction, oil and gas, maritime, technology, beverages, real estate and the finance sectors. Mr Asali has handled arbitration proceedings administered by the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the Mexican Centre of Arbitration (CAM), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Court (HKIAC) and the Mexican Chambers of Commerce (CANACO). Mr Asali also recently provided expert testimony on Mexican bankruptcy and administrative law before an ICSID tribunal in Washington, DC.
Mr Asali obtained his law degree (JD) summa cum laude from the Escuela Libre de Derecho. He also obtained an LLM from Harvard Law School.
