Jorge Luis Inchauste is partner at Guevara & Gutiérrez SC since2002 (he joined the firm as an associate in 1998), he has alsoworked as a law clerk at Piper Rudnick LLP in New York; aswell as a general secretary of arbitration and mediation for theBolivian National Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of theLa Paz Bar Association; he was admitted to practise in the Stateof New York. His postgraduate studies were at the GeorgetownUniversity Law Center, Washington DC, Master of Laws - LLM;the Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar, La Paz, Bolivia, Mastersin Economic Law - (thesis pending); and he received his lawdegree from the Universidad Católica Boliviana, La Paz, Bolivia.Jorge has extensive experience in international business transactions,project finance, corporate, arbitration, alternate disputeresolution, electricity, hydrocarbons and water. He is a professorat the Universidad Privada Boliviana, and was also professor atthe Universidad Católica Boliviana, both in La Paz. He has alsoparticipated as lecturer at certain conferences at the La Paz BarAssociation involving arbitration. Among the awards and certifi-cations that Jorge has received is a training scholarship in alternatedispute resolution methods with emphasis in strategic mediationat the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by the InteramericanDevelopment Bank. He is also a certified mediator ofthe Mediation and Arbitration Center of the Bolivian Chamberof Commerce and a certified mediator of the La Paz BarAssociation’s mediation and arbitration centre. He speaks Spanishand English.
