Joshua is a partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and is a pre-eminent arbitration specialist and a market-leader in the Asia Pacific region. He is ranked Band 1 by Chambers and Partners in Dispute Resolution: Arbitration; by The Legal 500 as a Leading Individual; and is named in The Legal 500’s ‘Power List’ for international arbitration. Joshua is an executive director of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration and a member of the UNCAA’s Working Group III, Expert Advisory Committee for ISDS Reform.
He is instructed by multinational public companies on some of their most sensitive and high-value disputes, including investor-state and bilateral investment treaty disputes.
A sample of Joshua’s recent international mandates from leading global corporates include multibillion dollar disputes regarding energy infrastructure delivery in Canada and a circa US$15 billion oil and gas project in the Indo-Pacific region.
As a dual Australian and British citizen who practised extensively in London, Joshua has represented a number of the world’s leading infrastructure and major projects participants including in the oil and gas, resources, renewables and energy transition sectors.
Joshua also has lectured university students in commercial disputes and international arbitration.
