Arbitrator sentenced to jail in Kuala Lumpur

A 73 year-old British arbitrator and engineer resident in Malaysia was today sentenced to six months in jail for misleading the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration into appointing him seven years ago on the basis of a false statement of independence – but an earlier corruption allegation was not pursued.
