Lukeno Ribeiro Alkatiri is a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in sociology, from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of the National University of Singapore (Singapore) and has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra (Portugal).From 2013 to 2016, Lukeno worked for Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira (Lisbon offices), first as a trainee lawyer and later as a lawyer. During this time Lukeno worked in the areas of public law, corporate and commercial law, tax law, litigation and health law.Lukeno is the managing partner of JLA Advogados e Consultores since 2016. He is a registered lawyer in Timor-Leste and is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association.
