Meriam is the US head of public international law and investment disputes at Dentons. She is also a member of Dentons’ litigation and dispute resolution practice group where she focuses on public international law including issues related to human rights, international investment and commercial arbitration and risk management, covering various industries across the globe, including infrastructure, oil and gas, mineral resources, hospitality and real estate. Her experience includes participation in arbitrations before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, the London Court of International Arbitration, UNCITRAL, the International Chamber of Commerce and the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes and the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague. Meriam currently teaches international investment arbitration at Fordham Law School in New York, has guest lectured at Georgetown Law School on international arbitration and has taught graduate level courses as adjunct faculty in international law at George Washington University on international organisations and international trade and finance. Meriam also speaks regularly at conferences and writes articles on issues related to public international law and investment arbitration.
