Seumas Woods is a partner in the litigationdepartment at the Toronto office of Blake Cassels & Graydon LLP. He holds law degrees from the Universities ofSaskatchewan, Toronto and Oxford, attending the last of those threeas a Rhodes scholar. Seumas specialises in complex corporate andcommercial, construction and securities litigation. He has appearedat all levels of the Canadian courts, as well as before arbitratorsin both domestic and international arbitrations, and administrativetribunals including the Ontario Securities Commission, the CanadianInternational Trade Tribunal and the Competition Tribunal.Seumas was co-counsel with Joel Richler on the MPI TechnologiesInc v Xerox Canada Limited case discussed in the 'Canada' article inthe 2007 edition of this publication.
