Ulyana Bardyn is a counsel in the firm’s international commercial arbitration and cross-border litigation team. She represents clients across industries in complex cross-border disputes, including international commercial arbitration, investor– state disputes and business litigation matters. Ulyana regularly acts as counsel in arbitration cases governed by the rules of all major arbitral institutions and represents clients in high-stakes litigation in US federal and state courts, particularly in matters in aid of, or arising out of, arbitration proceedings, including enforcement of judgments, provisional or conservatory measures, and Section 1782 discovery in aid of foreign litigation. Apart from dispute resolution, Ulyana frequently advises clients on matters relating to dispute prevention, investment structuring and considerations relating to business and human rights.

Ulyana is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and she sits as an arbitrator. An active member of the international law community, she is an immediate former chair of the International Law Committee at the New York City Bar Association and co-chair of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution’s Steering Committee of Young Attorneys in Dispute Resolution. She has taught a class on advocacy in investment arbitration at Brooklyn Law School and a class on international commercial arbitration at the Arbitration School of the Ukrainian Arbitration Association, held annually in Kyiv.

Ulyana is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.
