UAE-led consortium brings claim over Iraqi gas project

A consortium led by Emirati energy company Dana Gas has filed for arbitration against a Canadian contractor that halted work on a US$800 million gas project in Iraqi Kurdistan in the wake of a fatal drone attack.

DIFC court upholds billion-dollar award in Iraqi bribery dispute

DECISION NOW PUBLIC: A court in the Dubai International Financial Centre has upheld an ICC award worth US$1.6 billion that found a prominent Iraqi businessman had conspired to bribe public officials – dismissing arguments that the tribunal relied on unlawfully procured evidence.
