[email protected]Urvashi Misra is a counsel in the dispute resolution team at AZB & Partners, New Delhi. She graduated from the ILS Law College, Pune, in 2014.
Urvashi has been involved in a variety of foreign-seated and domestic-seated arbitrations (both, institutional and ad hoc) which relate to cross-border shareholder disputes, high-value infrastructure projects and supply contracts. She also has significant experience in court proceedings related to shareholder disputes.
Urvashi has advised and represented Lonestar Funds in its disputes with its Indian joint venture partner. She has also advised and represented multinational clients such as Discovery (the broadcast network) and entities operating in the defence sector before various courts and tribunals.
Presently, she is defending a foreign client against an action seeking an anti-arbitration injunction which involves complex issues including assessing the impact of India’s reciprocity reservation to the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Awards 1958.
