[email protected]Vijayendra Pratap Singh is a senior partner and head of the dispute resolution practice in AZB & Partners, New Delhi. He has extensive experience of over two decades in providing legal services for numerous domestic and international clients. Vijayendra has spearheaded various arbitrations pertaining to the validity of shareholder agreements, option contracts, long-term supply, claims on account of cancellation of coal blocks, confidentiality and franchising, and intellectual property issues. The arbitrations are ad hoc and institutional and are seated across multiple jurisdictions. Recently, he has represented Amazon in its much-publicised dispute with Future Retail.
Vijayendra is recognised by Chambers & Partners Global (2020–2023) and Asialaw Profiles (2020–2023) for dispute resolution. He has been named ‘Litigation Star of the Year’ by Benchmark Litigation Asia Pacific (2020–2022) and has been listed by Global Arbitration Review in 2012, 2018, 2019 and 2020. He currently serves as a member of the SIAC Court of Arbitration.
