Young Shin Um is an associate attorney at Yoon & Yang LLC. Ms Um has practised arbitration cases under the rules of ICC, AAA, ICDR, SIAC, HKIAC, UNCITRAL, KCAB and DIS, among others, and also handled disputes in various jurisdictions. Ms Um was educated in both the civil law and common law tradition, having studied first at Seoul National University College of Law (LLB, 2007and JD, 2012), and at New York University School of Law (LLM in international legal studies, 2008), where she was awarded the Dean’s Graduate Award. While at NYU, she served as the research associate for the New York University School of Law’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice.
